Ethno-jazz project inspired by the Crimean Tatar folk melodies and songs.

Usein Bekirov is recognised to be one of the most famous Crimean jazz musicians and one of the best keyboardists of Ukraine. Composer Bekirov is a graduate of the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after Tchaikovsky. He is a winner of numerous international awards and an initiator of a number of jazz projects

The project presents a unique spectrum of various cultures, i.e. Jewish, Azerbaijani, Persian, Turkish, Romani, Ukrainian, and each contributes its inimitable element to the uniqueness of the whole.

DZYGA JAZZ QUINTET

Dzyga Jazz Quintet -‘patriarchs and forefathers’ of Ukrainian jazz scene, who began playing jazz back in the now remote 1960s (despite Soviet hard ideological control).The Dzyga Jazz Quintet project with its current cast was established in 2001, during the first Polish-Ukrainian Jazz Bez Festival. Volodymyr Kit, a well-known Ukrainian trumpeter, who has devoted to jazz music over half a century. And at the same time, he is a doctor. In 1960s he founded the famous Medicus jazz band,  the winner of numerous  awards at jazz festivals in Europe, including the  Jazz nad Odra Festival in 1973.

KUBA STANKIEWICZ: THE MUSIC OF BRONISŁAW KAPER

Kuba Stankiewicz enters the list of the most prominent Polish jazz pianists. He opens for us composers from ‘over the Vistula’, who wrote famous hits and have conquered Hollywood. Such as Bronislaw Kaper, the winner of the first Polish Oscar. Kuba Stankiewicz and his friends have recorded Kaper’s compositions  in Los Angeles.

Ken Vandermark has been maintaining the position of the most renowned contemporary jazz musicians for many years. Sensationally skillful saxophonist (especially on tenor saxophone) and clarinetist (the best on bass clarinet).
